“No man ever believes that the Bible means what it says: He is always convinced that it says what he means” -George Bernard Shaw
Are you curious about the differences between Calvinism and Armenianism? Have you wanted to gain a more thorough understanding of Jesus' miracles? Have you been looking to gain a deeper understanding of Jesus' parables? Well these are just a few of the areas of theological exploration that is offered in NACM's Mentorship Program. Whether you are a home based Christian who would like to gain additional understanding in order to apply it within your own personal life, or you are a veteran Christian pastor who is looking to build up your skills and knowledge for your ministry, the NACM Mentorship Program may be just what you have been looking for! As one participant put it, "The Mentorship Program has made me think in ways that I haven't done sense graduate school".
The Mentorship Program offers an extensive number of areas of examination, after which each participant is asked to explain their own understanding of the presented material in a single paragraph. The program is divided into Units, each having a central theme such as Jesus' miracles, witnessing, establishing a church, etc. Within each Unit, are a various number of actual assignments for the participant to respond to. Each Unit is well explained, and the material is concise and easy to understand. Along with all required study material, there are program monitors who are always eager to help. It is one of the most comprehensive program's of its kind at any price, but unlike any other theological training program, the NACM Mentorship Program costs you nothing but a sincere desire to grow in your Christian walk!
One of our current Mentorship Program participants put it best, when he wrote. "My journey through the Mentorship Program provided by the NACM has been far more than I expected. You might think that writing only a paragraph per assignment sounds easy but this is not at all the case. As with anything in this life you get out what you put in to something, reaping what we sow. By really putting in the time and effort the program's lessons become a truly rewarding experience, both in terms of learning and practical application to ministry. Yes, you need to be self-motivated but this is also a way for God to grow and stretch you. I have been blessed by the ability to have such a program available to me and I would most certainly encourage others to partake in it. The depth and width of information and support is truly amazing." -Ed Gontarz
Below is a word from Michael Mooney, NACM President
We are committed to the development and success of our ministers. For this reason, we offer a mentor program to all of our membership –without cost. Participants are given the opportunity to undergo ministerial mentoring through the supervision of our organization’s president and others who have completed the program. During this time they are exposed to a verity of subjects in Christian doctrine, philosophy, Biblical interpretation techniques, and ministry strategies. Then they are given assignments to respond in one paragraph summaries on a discussion board regarding the course materials. Herein they also have the opportunity to interact with everyone participating in the program, as well as graduated mentors. When they reach the end of the program, each participant is given a final assignment that is tailored to their individual ministry goals. The main delivery format of the program is online. Participants in the US will also have the opportunity to interact in several phone conferences at the final assignment stage.
Upon completion, participants may request a letter of reference on behalf of the NACM, as wel
l as a certificate of mentorship. Also, they may request assignments to assist in mentoring future participants. People who serve in this role will stay in touch with their assigned partners to discuss the course materials, ministry goals, to provide fellowship and moral support. Those who wish to serve our ministry may also request an internship so that they my gain valuable experiential ministry experience.
